| The Midland Central Appraisal District is a political
subdivision of the state, governed by a local Board of Directors. The Appraisal
District's purpose is to appraise property in the district for ad valorem tax
purposes of each taxing unit that imposes ad valorem taxes on property in the

See Map.) We collect the following taxes in
this office: City of Midland, Midland Independent School District, Midland
